Think Outside the Box: BoxBot Contest

Ameritex Movers recently collaborated with Alief ISD to host an exciting “Think Outside the Box: BoxBot Contest” for middle school students. As dedicated movers in Houston, we donated moving boxes to Alief ISD’s after-school summer program, providing students with the materials needed to build their innovative robot designs.

The contest challenged students to create the best robot design using just two cardboard boxes, with fantastic prizes awarded to the most creative and well-engineered entries. Beth Rohani, Owner of Ameritex Movers, encouraged the participants, saying, “Don’t be afraid to take risks. Get inspired. If you have an idea, believe you can do it, and then make it happen.”

Throughout the event, students demonstrated impressive creativity and engineering skills as they built and presented their cardboard robots. The contest highlighted collaboration and innovation, with students working together on their projects and proudly sharing their unique designs. This hands-on learning experience underscored the importance of STEM education and the benefits of engaging young minds in practical, creative problem-solving activities.

As movers in Houston, Ameritex Movers is committed to improving the community through initiatives like the BoxBot Contest. If you have any partnership opportunities that align with our mission of community enhancement, please reach out to our team.
